About us

Our Story

A family run establishment, the New Moon exudes a warm, welcoming atmosphere, quality drink, and, perhaps above all, wonderful food. Enthusiastic owner and chef TK and his wife Irena tested this formula successfully at them previous space on the Gloucester Rd, winning great reviews and loyal customers, before making the positive decision to move to the heart of Clifton in early 2015. In 2019 they opened their second venue on Bristol Harbour side, New Moon on the Quay.

Our Culinary Journey

Each of our menus are a story of cultural discovery, where we have embraced the vibrant and diverse culinary traditions from around the globe. In this space, we relive the delightful experiences from Peru to France, through the lens of tapas. It's more than just a collection of dishes; it's a tapestry of flavors, memories, and the joy of exploration that we've shared with our patrons.

Join us in revisiting these flavorful sojourns that have shaped our culinary identity.

Well.... !
What can I say about this? I must comment about the music in the background... which was so sexy/romantic (and at just the right volume level - there is nothing worse than anything too loud) that it had a very nice effect upon my partner and I ! The whole ambience in this restaurant was lovely. Food super. Waiters friendly. And not too expensive. Would definitely return if I am back in Bristol.

Still as good as ever
Was an old favourite and haven’t been for a number of years. The food is still exceptional! The guest country was Portugal and we had some amazing croquettes. The crab cakes, chickpea curry and Patatas bravas were all divine. No alcoholic drinks on this occasion but the cocktail selection looked great. Service very friendly and efficient and atmosphere warm. Definitely worth a visit!

Amazing choice for you coeliacs out there!!
We took our sons here for their first experience of Tapas food and we weren't disappointed (so much so that we're now looking for a Tapas bar near to us!) The service was outstanding, the choice for all (especially those who are gluten free) amazing and the ambience very tasteful. Would definitely recommend!
